COSI’s Insight enables exposing any of your Document Management System as a file share by mapping it to a named drive. This makes the DMS look like any other file share and integrates seamlessly with Office, Outlook and other all their desktop applications as a shared drive would. Users would continue to perform their normal business by moving files in and out of a file share, but now, with the added benefits of assigning custom attributes, managing versions and collaborating globally.

WHY INSIGHT?

As you may have experienced, many DMS projects fail due to lack of proper user adoption amongst business users, resulting in multiple copies of documents stored in disparate locations. Business users prefer to use the Windows explorer and the office tools that they are very familiar with and primarily work in to create these content and it only makes sense to integrate these seamlessly to the DMS repository. Insight also has an architecture that ensures easy deployment to large number of users by managing all the changes on the server-side. In addition the zero-install office integration will make the constant upgrades to the Office environment very easy to manage.
